Description
The Historic New Orleans Collection (THNOC) is a museum, research center, and publisher dedicated to the study and preservation of the history and culture of New Orleans and the Gulf South region. We are seeking a Cataloguer to join our Cataloguing and Processing Department in the Williams Research Center.
The Cataloguer assists in the cataloguing of diverse materials at The Historic New Orleans Collection. The Cataloguer handles accessioned bibliographic, manuscript, and curatorial items and collections and creates appropriate descriptive records in THNOC’s collections management system. This position is also responsible for managing THNOC’s Artist Files. The cataloguer is often requested to provide advice and information on best practices and up-to-date polices in cataloging.
